On Thursday, May 16, 2024, the Department of Organization and Business Administration in collaboration with the School of Engineering and the Postgraduate Program in Business Administration of the International Hellenic University organized an event with speakers from two high level executives of ELVIAL, in the central auditorium of the "Evagoras Pallikaridis" Serres Campus. The event was attended by more than 200 students from almost all Departments of the Campus.
The speakers were Mr. Ioannis Mertzios, Graduate Mechanical Engineer, Area Sales Manager of the company and Mr. Pavlos Vagionas, Graduate Electrical Engineer, Plant Manager. The first speaker focused on ELVIAL's history, field, philosophy, as well as entrepreneurship issues, company successes and future challenges. The second focused on production and personnel issues related to the company, as well as the labor market and the skills needed for a new entrant to succeed in it. The two speeches were followed by an extensive discussion with the students.
