On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, a conference entitled "Energy Efficiency in Industry" was held at ACCI. The aim of the conference was to discuss the basic tools for improving energy efficiency in the industry sector, the challenges faced by industrial companies on the way to their energy transition, as well as solutions and good practices that can support them towards this direction.

Mr. Pavlos Vagionas, Graduate Electrical Engineer, Plant Manager of ELVIAL, analyzed the challenges faced by a large industrial unit towards the green transition as well as the continuous and targeted actions made for the best energy efficiency of the line production. As he explained, serious investments have been made to upgrade and replace equipment and further develop processes. Special mention was made about the horizontal energy savings that have been achieved in recent years as well as the upcoming actions that promise an even greener future for the company.

The event was organized by CRES, NTUA (EPU-NTUA, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering), the Chamber of Corinth and POVAS, in collaboration

with EBEA, and took place within the framework of the collaboration of the EU MORE, AUDIT-TO projects -MEASURE and KnowNEBs which are co-financed by the European Union, by the LIFE program, in accordance with the objectives of the European Green Agreement and the relevant national legislative framework, taking into account the needs of businesses for competitiveness and sustainability.
