Abaton Island Resort & Spa is a five star hotel, built by the sea, in an area of 40,000 acres. Located in the Hersonissos of Crete, it includes 152 rooms and 14 suites of various levels of luxury.

MAXIMUM VIEW

The aluminium system allows the inside and outside to unify seamlessly and offer uninterrupted views at all sides with a discreet but powerful outline of only 35mm.

FIRM AND MINIMAL

In the shell of the hotel, the facade system of ELVIAL maximized the need for natural light and facilitated the construction needs.

THE ESSENCE OF DESIGN

The middle mullion section of 35mm follows the discreet and classy linear design.

ATTENTION TO DETAILS

Customized Multi-point locking system for exceptional levels of safety and four pairs of heavy duty stainless steel rollers to the system offer a smooth scrolling.

COLORS CAN BE PLAYFUL

Create color contrasts. Choose among hundreds of colors and textures.

The reference point of the architectural design was the wide coastline of 360 meters and the desire for all parts of the hotel to overlook the sea. That was also the challenge!  Simple, minimal lines, unpretentious style and dominance of the endless blue was the answer. The MINIMAL Look sliding systems were chosen to frame the sea view and the connection of the interior ́ environment with the exterior ́.

With a minimal perimeter frame at 35mm and a range of technological innovations, the MINIMAL Look sliding architectural system maximized the influx of natural light while it sealed the large openings maximizing impermeability. The robust manufacturing and high aesthetics of MINIMAL Look sliding systems served the philosophy of the hotel and accentuated the experience of a Mediterranean sweet spot under the sun.
